Language Evolution
Description:
Language Evolution research faces many fascinating questions: How could language evolve in a species that did not already have language? Why did it evolve in only one species? Or did it? How was it shaped? In addition, this field has seen some of the most acrimonious debates in recent science. This talk focuses on both recent advances in science and arguments of opposing camps in the debate.
