Understanding the Older Adult's Brain
Description:
Understanding the Older Adult's Brain
Contrary to popular thought, older adults' brains can churn out many new cells. That's not to say that the brain of a healthy 79-year-old looks exactly like the brain of a healthy 29-year-old. New findings give a snapshot of the healthy aging brain -- and it's a "positive" one, researchers say.
A 50 minute documentary video* will be shown, outlining strategies adults can use to keep a healthy brain into our "Third Age Years". Afterwhich a general discussion on the topic will take place.
* This 50 minute video will only be shown this once and is NOT available for loan, nor duplication.
