Danielle will speak to the increasingly community-oriented role of public libraries, using the programs and services of the Western Manitoba Regional Library as examples. Danielle will describe the new initiatives taking place at the Brandon Public Library, and will seek input from the audience. She wants to what culture, community, and literacy mean to YOU, and what the library can do to increase Brandon’s richness in these areas.

Danielle Hubbard is the Assistant Librarian – Programming and Outreach Services for the Western Manitoba Regional Library. In this capacity, her mission is to increase the Public Library’s relevance in Brandon and the surrounding communities. Outside of professional work, Danielle enjoys creative writing, travel, and long-distance running.
