On the Path to Truth and Reconciliation: Brandon Indian Residential School. Twenty large beautifully reproduced photographs of the students and their activities at Brandon Residential School will be displayed on easels in the classroom. The photos and accompanying texts will help us learn about BIRS and its long lasting effects. Looking,listening and talking will help promote truth and reconciliation in the community and build relationships. Souris Valley Reserve owns the property the school was on and has some amazing plans for it.

Rev. Craig Miller will be one of the hosts for this presentation. Another member of the community will also co-host.
Rev. Craig Miller is the Minister at Knox United, Brandon and former chair of the Assiniboine Presbytery. Craig serves on the working group that developed the Brandon Indian Residential School Mobile Learning Centre and is active in supporting reconciliation initiatives in Brandon and throughout the province. Craig and his partner live and work on Treaty Two land, traditional lands of the Dakota Sioux, Anishnabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, and in the heart of the Métis nation.
